Produced in Mexico by Diageo, this exceptional spirit is made using 100% Tequilana Weber Blue Agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco (Los Altos). The agave is slowly cooked in traditional stone and brick ovens, then extracted using a roller mill before fermented in stainless steel tanks with deep, healthy water. It undergoes double distillation in stainless pot stills with copper coils to achieve extraordinary smoothness. Aged for two and a half years in a blend of used American White Oak and Bourbon Barrels, Don Julio 1942 reveals a rich, deep character.
