The agave plants are grown high above the sea in mineral-rich soil in the highlands. They take 8-12 years to ripen and can only be harvested once. The Tequila is then double-distilled and matured in French and American oak wooden barrels selected by the 1800 Maestro Tequilero. A unique selection of white tequilas has blended for added complexity and character. It is a painstaking process but one that yields a smoother Tequila with superior flavor. 1800 Silver is crystal clear Tequila with blond highlights. Its aroma is soft, sweet, floral with fruit, spice, black peppercorns, and agave notes. The smooth, clean, and balanced flavor offers hints of sweet prune and roasted pepper. It has a medium finish with fruity pepper fade. This 1800 Blanco Tequila has bottled at 80 proof (40% alcohol by volume).
