Originally created for royalty, Hennessy V.S.O.P Cognac is a blend of more than 60 individual eaux-de-vie, or aged cognacs. These cognacs are carefully aged up to 15 years and blended in oak casks to create a velvety, complex blend of delicate spice and honeyed fruit flavors. V.S.O.P. stands for “very superior old pale.” Enjoy neat, on the rocks or in refined cocktails.
Sazerac de Forge & Fils is named in honor of Bernard Sazerac de Forge, who founded a cognac house in France in 1782. The Sazerac Company recently returned to Cognac and acquired Domaine Sazerac de Segonzac in order to produce their own “Finest Original” cognac. Like Bernard Sazerac de Forge, whose brandies were enjoyed all over the world from the 17th to the 19th centuries, the idea was to make a big, robust, old-school cognac to stand apart from the more genteel styles of modern blends. The Sazerac de Forge & Fils “Finest Original” Cognac blend includes cognacs made from a number of old and rare native grape varieties, as opposed to just the fairly neutral Ugni Blanc. This gives us the unique opportunity to enjoy cognac as it was 150 years ago, prior to the Phylloxera epidemic that forever changed the cognac-making process. Blended with cognacs that have aged between seven and fifty years, this blend is complex, full of character and inevitably produced in very small quantities. Bottled at 47% abv.
Courvoisier VS Cognac is a blend of several crus aged between three and seven years (four to eight for Russia), composed principally of Fins Bois with a balancing hand of Petite Champagne. The fusion of younger and older cognacs gives Courvoisier VS a fruity, delicate taste and a bouquet filled with ripe fruit and spring flowers. Rope Fruits: The chalky soil in Fins Bois delivers a hint of ripe fruits, which is its signature aroma. Spring Flowers: Inhale deeply for the bouquet of spring flowers, which is a hallmark of grapes harvested at their peak from the Fins Bois crus. Fresh Oakiness: The rich, fresh oak bouquet is carefully controlled throughout the aging process to ensure it doesn’t overpower the young cognac.
D’usse Cognac VSOP Naturally aged at least four and a half years in the cellars of France’s Château de Cognac, D’Usse VSOP Cognac emerges as a bold, full-bodied blend that arouses the palate. On the nose, it reveals a powerful bouquet, rich in woody notes that are layered with touches of cinnamon and floral notes. Distinctively and unexpectedly smooth, with each taste, you savor hints of spices, almond, and cinnamon. Subtle accents of honey and dried fruits are the finale. Enjoy!
