Unleash the bold spirit of Jim Beam Devil’s Cut Bourbon Whiskey, a premium bourbon with depth and complexity that comes from liquid extracted from inside the barrel wood. We use a proprietary process that extracts the rich bourbon trapped inside the barrel wood. When ready, we then blend this liquid with extra-aged bourbon and bottle it at 90 proof for robust, premium bourbon with deep color, aroma, and character. As bourbon ages, a portion of the liquid is lost from the barrel due to evaporation; that’s the “Angel’s Share.” After aging, when the bourbon is dumped out of the barrel, a certain amount of whiskey is left trapped within the wood of every barrel. Angel’s Envy is an exceptional award-winning Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in Port Wine Barrels and inspired by Lincoln Henderson’s lifetime spent crafting the world’s finest spirits. It’s a total return to craft first, hand-blended batches of 8 to 12 barrels at a time, which they carefully taste throughout every step of the process. This would be enough for other bourbons, but they decided to take it further. A small-batch, super-premium Bourbon, Angel’s Envy, is aged for four to six years in white oak before finishing in Port barrels for an incremental five to six months. Once it’s deemed ready, they finish the bourbon in ruby port wine casks, which adds subtly distinct flavor nuances that enhance the whiskey without challenging it. They use 60-gallon ruby port barrels made from French oak and imported directly from Portugal. This creates a whiskey of unprecedented smoothness, sweetness and balance. Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has gold color laced with reddish amber hues, nearly copper in tone.
